Kum Thim Food Industries Sdn Bhd, established since 1971, is one of the leading sauces manufacturers in Malaysia; specializing in soya sauce manufacturing. We have more than half a century of experience in this business. We insist on using the Traditional Natural Fermentation process to brew our soya sauce products. Our core businesses are direct supplying to the food service sector especially focusing on the Chinese Cuisine.
Kum Thim Food Industries Sdn Bhd, with another core product, “Yee Sang Varieties” is considered to be one of the chef’s favorable choices. We provide a one stop service to the industry with a full range of products and fast response, which has resulted in a relationship of goodwill with our customers and a marginal increase in the total market share (75%,unofficial statistic) to our company. Thus, we have been announced as the “Largest Yee Sang Manufacturers in Malaysia” since 1980s by the Food and Beverage industry player.
About Founder
Mr Mun Kum Thim, 65 years old, is a Malaysian Chinese whose ancestors hailed from from Guang Dong, Xinhui, China. He served as the president of The Central Malaya Sauce Manufacturers’ Association (2009-2012) and the president of Malaysian Sauce Manufacturers’ Association (2009-2012). Mr Mun has been involved in the sauce industry for half a century. He learnt from his master Mr Chia Gen, from Thye Woh Sauce Factory. He started from the lowest stage as an apprentice, until he became a Master (Shi Fu), which took more than ten years to achieve.
